Which delivery method should I use to take CBD? Which is the best method? Which will work better for me?

These “trick questions” confuse more people than not, when the answer is quite simple: There is no “best” way to take CBD, just different forms of delivery in order to do so. It all comes down to personal preference and when it comes to CBD products, there are many options available. Let’s break down a few:

There are many delivery method options when it comes to CBD products, so let’s break them down:

Softgels & Capsules

CBD softgels/capsules are one of the most popular ways for taking CBD was found in a survey done by SingCare [1]. This convenient, mess-free way to take CBD might be your cup of tea if you're that person that is always on the go. Plus, because of the popular demand for CBD softgels/capsules, Health in Harmony formulated 2 of our most popular CBD products as softgels: EVERYDAY ECS Balance & EVERYDAY Recovery!

Pros

CBD Softgel/Capsules are a great "starter" choice for someone who wants to begin incorporating CBD into their daily routine. They are easy, convenient, and are tasteless (a major benefit for customers who aren't too keen on flavored products). Plus, you'll never forget to take your daily CBD softgel every morning with your cup of coffee and/or every night with your sleepy time tea!

Cons

A key topic of conversation in the health & wellness industry is the fact that a number of key nutrients are poorly absorbed by the gut, no matter how many physical capsules you add to your routine. But not everyone is aware of this, and consumers spend hundreds of dollars on new products (or worse, end up taking 6 “horse pills” of just one vitamin) and still don’t see any benefit. The good news is that Health in Harmony uses VesiSorb®, a natural delivery system that has been clinically proven to increase the bioavailability of these poorly absorbed nutrients so that you can really feel the benefit. Nothing can stand in the way of this science-backed technology, not even a capsule!

Oils & Tinctures

Oils are intended to be consumed orally, usually by placing a few (or more) drops under the tongue. These types of CBD products are commonly named “Tinctures” or “Tincture Oils”, because of the tincture bottle they come in.

Pros

Tinctures are great for many reasons, mostly because of the different ways you can use them. The bottles often come with a dropper that allows you to personally customize your CBD dose depending on how much, or how little, you want. They are great for those who enjoy a little extra “flavor” in their day. Some brands offer a natural tincture flavor (a bit of a “hempy” taste), while others deliver delicious flavors for a fun experience. You can also use tincture oils to add CBD to your favorite food recipes, beverages, and more. See some amazing Health in Harmony EVERYDAY Wellness Drops Fall beverage recipes HERE!

Cons

Depending on the product, taking CBD orally can be hard as no two pallets are alike. For example, some CBD oils are available in a variety of different flavors to mask the hemp taste of the CBD concentrate. But keep in mind that not every CBD sublingual will taste the same! Not to mention that some consumers struggle with the idea of swallowing an oil, which can be a major turnoff. Topicals

CBD Topicals are placed on the surface area of the skin and are utilized for (and may help) skin health, skin inflammation, sore muscles, and sore joints. They come in all consistencies, scents, shapes and sizes, and offer a range of different CBD potencies for consumers of every kind.

Pros

Topicals are a perfect option for when you want to target a specific area of the body for relief. They are offered in everything from lotions and cooling gels, to balms and salves. The possibilities are endless!

Cons

Similar to digestible CBD products, the downside to topicals is that the skin creates a barrier to absorption and directly affects the amount of CBD that is able to make its way into the bloodstream.

... SPOILER ALERT!

Health in Harmony has developed a solution to help improve the absorption and bioavailability of CBD topicals, with our industry-leading VESIsorb® technology… but you will have to wait just a little longer for the release of our exciting new topical products 😉.
